Pizza Party & Swap Meet

Download (PDF, 211KB)

Celebrate the “unofficial end of summer” by joining your fellow CHNYC members for one last summer social to say good-bye to summer while enjoying pizza and BYOB at the Marina Pavilion beginning at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10th. Cost $10 pp. Please be sure to register and pay online by 6pm, Friday 9 September, so we can have a headcount for planning purposes.

What:  Pizza Party
When: Saturday, September 10th
Time:  4:00-8:00 p.m.
Where: Marina Pavilion (Adjacent to D Dock)
Cost: $10.00 per person
Event Captain: Joe Gabriel – telltale@chnyc.us

This year the location has moved from the Dockmaster’s deck to the Pavilion near D-dock. This gives us some shelter if the weather isn’t perfect but it also hints to other use so we’ve expanded the event to include a “Swap Meet”. We will also announce this event to the patrons of the Marina with the hope that non-member boaters from the marina “community” will get to know us CHNYC folks. Our intention is to focus on maritime items that you may have stored in your garage, deep in the lazarette of your boat, or in the trunk of your car. Items that are still useful, functional, or even desirable that you simply don’t need or that perhaps belonged to your last boat! Please DO NOT use this opportunity to bring your “junk” as that only takes away from the intent and is a waste of time. Items other than maritime items are also welcome but try to focus on your boating treasures.

We will provide folding tables and chairs but if it’s convenient, you might want to bring one along. This is a BYOB event and remember to stay after the pizza for the sunset.
