Support the SPIRIT crew fundraiser!

Hello PHRF sailors---- I'm re-posting EC's email to let you know that the SPIRIT crew is holding their annual fundraiser to support the fight agains Leukemia/Lymphoma. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi everyone! Time to start thinking about more pleasant thoughts than the “winter that will not die”. In particular, we are planning to hold another wine tasting fundraiser this year to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Newport Art Museum has again agreed to host us, with the entire museum open to exploration during the wine tasting. As with last year we are planning on a variety of raffle items, a silent auction and perhaps a few other surprises . . . : ) The “mechanics” of the wine tasting remain identical to last year (instructions are in the attached flyer), but this year we will be focusing on Cabernet Sauvignon for the red and Pinot Grigio for the white. Hors d'oeuvres are included and we hope to have a little live music again. So this early email is just a request to mark your calendar – May 16th 6-9pm at the Newport Art Museum and to solicit your help in getting the word out to friends and family. We had about 125 folks make last year’s event, which for year #2 I think is absolutely amazing. This was an increase of about 50 folks from the previous year! This year we’d like to break 150!
