Attached is NAVSTA Newport's instruction regarding recreational fishing onboard base. In addition to a Rhode Island fishing license all personnel 16 years of age and over must now also possess a NAVSTA Newport MWR fishing license. Annual MWR fishing licenses may be purchased for $10.00 from the ITT Outdoor Recreation Office. Active Duty personnel can obtain a State of Rhode Island Salt Water Fishing License for free from the following link:

Reading 5.6, the area is suppose to be outlined in red in enclosure 3. Unfortunately, the genius who scanned enclosure 3 did it in grayscale - - red? What Red?

Hope the ITT office has enclosure 3 in color so we could post it at the marina.

With the greatly increased fishing activity at the marina due to added power skiffs, can we post info & NAVSTANPT regs for the coming 2014 fishing season as a service to all marina patrons?

Also, with the departure of Ed and OPUS from the marina, we've lost some great local knowledge when it comes to fishing. Is there anyone out there willing to share their tips on local fishing?
