If you have Forum Registration Problems
Posted: January 16th, 2011, 10:23 pm
You can read the CHNYC Forum without registering but in order to post a new message or reply, you must register via the "Register" button near the upper right portion of the screen. You'll be taken to a registration screen where you select your user name, password and must enter a valid email address. The screen also asks a simple question you'll need to answer. We did this to reduce the amount of automated spam.
When you click to submit your CHNYC Forum registration, you are sent a validation email from forum@chnyc.us that includes confirmation of your registration. This email contains a link that you must click to activate your account.
If you don't receive the Registration Confirmation Email

If you don't receive the Registration Confirmation Email
- Look in your Spam folder and see if the message is there, if so please change your spam filter to allow messages from forum@chnyc.us and if you have the ability to allow all messages with "chnyc.us" email domain. If you found the email, click on the link to activate your account - problem fixed.
- If you did not receive an email, contact the CHNYC Forum Administrator by sending an email to forum@chnyc.us and providing the user name you submitted for registration. Don't send the password in the email as it won't be needed. The CHNYC Administrator will be able to manually activate your account and send you a confirmation email.
