R19 Lottery for summer series on 30 April

Mike McDonald, our Rhodes 19 Fleet Captain, will hold a lottery at 1715 at the O'club/Topside on 30 April. These proceedings will assign boats for our Wednesday Summer Series that begins on 21 May. #15 was previously assigned to team Gunzelman/Coupland and #18 to team McDonald/Orange several months ago. These two teams performed winter maintenance on their boats. These assignments will be effective for the entire 2014. Boats 1, 3, 5, 6, 10 and 19 will be in this [first] summer lottery. Other boats may be added to the drawing. Seven skippers have already paid membership dues and season race fees. Another four skippers have expresses interest in racing on Wednesday evening. I expect we'll have about a dozen Rhodes racing in the Wednesday Summer series. MWR has 16 boats available and there is time for more teams to enter before 21 May. If you've been thinking about competing you have less than a month to make a decision. The Notice of Race has been posted for almost 3 months on the CHNYC website chnyc.org . It is also attached below. Read it carefully. 1. All skippers and co-skippers must me CHNYC members. 2. Each BOAT must pay the race fees through the online registration system at chnyc.us. [see the banner at the top of this page] 3. All competitors must submit an entry/crew waiver using either online form at chnyc.org or the Race Committee dropbox [in the marina dockoffice]. I know of 5 skippers who are looking for crew.
