You've seen our Notice of Race for our Wednesday Series in several places. Among other things in the NOR, you read that skippers [including co-skippers] must be members of the yacht club - $25 dues. You also see that Wednesday fees for [u]each series is $25 per [u]boat [not per skipper]. What you have not seen [yet] is that the fee for our Winslow Regatta will be $25 per [u]boat . We'll be posting the Winslow NOR in June. With that background, the online registration system [shop.chnyc.org] is now open, Our popular "season race fee" is only $50! For $50 you can get 20 weeks of racing [10 summer + 10 fall + Winslow]. Doing some racey fee math: 20 Wednesdays [about 1 hours each] and a Saturday afternoon [about 4 hours] you pay about $2.00 per hour. [If you sail faster the hourly rate is higher but is about right for the bottom 1/2 of the fleet] What is good, is that you can pay [u]both your membership [u]dues and race [u]fees with one visit to the "store".
