RI DEM Safe Boating Class and Exam Session 3

Cost: $45 for the 3-part seminar

The three-night, three-hour sessions will, if passed, earn the students their Department of Environmental Management certificate of boating safety education. This certificate is required for members renting MWR vessels at the marina.

Per the DEM website at http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/law/boating-safety-topics.php,

“No person born on or after January 1, 1986 shall operate a vessel that is fitted with propulsion machinery of more than 10 horsepower on the water of RI unless the person shall have successfully completed a boating safety education program…”
